Isn't it ridiculous??
You guys will agree if I say; nowadays the scariest job is, going to the Market; especially for the middle class population. The price of fruits, vegetables, milk and many essential commodities are sky high. And how could we forget those 25% below poverty level population in our country who is struggling every single moment to survive. India is the country, where every year farmers commit suicide.

Now I’m going to ask a simple question. Have you ever seen an MP to buy even a single match box by using their own money? No way Jose! My second question is what is the job of a minister? The answer is, going to several places either by their luxurious AC cars or helicopters and living a luxurious life. Who pays for these? I mean where the money comes from? Obviously from the taxes we pay. They don’t have to pay for anything, because we bear all their expenses. After all they are the elected representatives whom we sent to the Parliament.

At a time when price hike is pinching the common man, politicians are set to get themselves a hefty pay hike. Shiv Sena MP Bhawna Gawli said, "When everybody has got a raise, there should not be any objection if salaries of MPs too are increased."
Everybody has got a raise, that’s true! But have you ever thought that the inflation is snatching all the money?
The Parliamentary Committee on Salaries has approved fivefold increase in the MPs' salary and a bill is set to be passed in Parliament in the ongoing monsoon session. Congress MP Charan Das Mahant, who heads the committee, justified the hike in salaries saying, "As per the warrant of precedence we are equivalent to secretaries or even above them. So, all the facilities that a secretary is entitled to must also be given to an MP."

The basic pay of Members of Parliament was hiked by more than three times from Rs 16,000 to Rs 50,000 by the government which also doubled several other emoluments for them. However, this is much less than the figure of Rs. 80,001 recommended by the parliamentary committee which had said the MPs should get more than government secretaries as the former are above them in the hierarchy.

1.      The government also increased office expenses of parliamentarians from Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 per month.
2.      The constituency allowance has also been doubled from Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 per month, government sources said.
3.      The limit for interest-free loan for MPs for buying a personal vehicle has been hiked four-fold to Rs 4 lakh from the present Rs 1 lakh.
4.      The government has also hiked road mileage rate for vehicles used by MPs from Rs 13 per km to Rs 16 per km.
5.Spouse of a parliamentarian can now travel any number of times in first class or executive class, the sources said.

6. Pension benefits have also been increased from Rs 8,000 to Rs 20,000 per month.
These are all seemed to be unjustified and shocking as well. But do they really care? Their salary hike comes prior to the problems like inflation, poverty and the other problems of common man.
Isn't it ridiculous??
